Keith Brymer Jones‘ passion for pottery began aged 11. His then art teacher encouraged by him to make something with a lump of clay. The pottery owl he crafted during that class was his first ceramic creation. Undoubtedly, this led to the start of Keith’s journey to becoming the master potter that he is today.

The first creation in the Word Range was the bucket mug. The shape of Keith’s trusty old water bucket that he used when throwing on his potter’s wheel was what inspired the shape. The shape of the mug still remains unchanged after 25 years. Who knew?

The design stage of each new product and the perfect prototype starts on Keith’s potter’s wheel in his UK studio. The full production then takes place in China. Unquestionably, a country with a deep-rooted history in expert ceramic production. Keith works closely with a team of highly skilled craftsmen to perfect the delicate production process.
