Keith Brymer Jones trained as a ballet dancer as well as wowing crowds as the front man of a punk band. Keith spent his youth exploring his passion for the arts before following his calling into the pottery world. More recently Keith has added author and presenter to his string of talents. On the popular Channel 4 show The Great Pottery Throw Down, Keith has become increasingly known for his role as the teary judge.

Keith is a passionate advocate for art, craft and design education. As a result, he was appointed as a patron for The National Society for Education in Art and Design. In 2019, Keith received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Staffordshire University. He received it for his continued work with the University as well as the city of Stoke-on-Trent, the home of the pottery industry. He continues to talk passionately about his work and the wider arts community at various events across the country.
